There is Only One Power

"Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God." (Romans 13: 1)
Years ago I used to love watching the cartoon series, He Man and the Masters of the Universe. It is about the battle to protect Castle Grayskull from the likes of Skeletor and his henchmen. Prince Adam has a secret power that very few know about. When Adam holds aloft his sword and says "By the Power of Grayskull...I have the Power!" he is transformed into He-Man with awesome power and might. He then transfers his power to his cat, Cringer, who is transformed to the courageous and ferocious Battle Cat on which He-Man rides into battle. He-Man and his allies are in constant battle to ensure good reigns over Eternia. To return to his human self, He-Man says "Let the Power return."

I have been thinking about the Power of God that is in all. I see this Power as zillions of times greater than the atom bomb. The Universe wouldn't exist without this Power. We are all like Prince Adam with a Power to transform us into Masters of the Universe. What's stopping this from happening? Because of our belief in more than one Power.

While I was pondering over this, I heard an alarm go off. My mother has an alarm that she can press if she needs assistance when she is on her own. I stood in front of the alarm and said "By the Power of God, be still!" The alarm was instantly silenced.

I decided to go out into town later by bus. I had an idea to get off and walk via Buckingham Palace, the Queen's official residence. Outside, there were all these tourists clicking away at their cameras. I took a walk in the park close by. There was a brass band concert going on. I listened for a while. They played a few songs I knew. Then they played the UK's National Anthem. Time to go. As I walked away I thought of part of the national anthem that says: "Long to reign over us." This is one example of how we divide the one Power; by believing someone has power over you.

There is only one Power. Yet we pray to God or whatever we believe in to help us and we don't seem to be helped. If only we'd realise that we have the one Power within and without. There is no other Power. We are mis-using the one Power by dreaming there are other powers. And if you believe in something having power so be it.

You have given power to your race, gender, nationality, sexuality, and other experiences. Your identities and experiences have power to make you act in a certain way. According to your belief, so be it.

You have given power to your body. Your body has power to make you feel good or bad about yourself. According to your belief, so be it.

You have given power to partners, spouses and loved ones. They have power to make you feel loved or not at all. According to your belief, so be it.

You have given power to other people’s behaviour. Others have power to make you happy, sad, or peaceful. According to your belief, so be it.

You have given power to food and drink. Food and drink have power to make you strong, healthy, sick, fat, thin, even kill you. According to your belief, so be it.

You have given power to doctors, and various healing professionals. Doctors, pills and potions, and healers have power to keep you in health or not, as the case may be. According to your belief, so be it.

You have given power to alcohol, drugs and cigarettes. They have the power to make you peaceful, happy or depressed. According to your belief, so be it.

You have given power to your employer. Your employer has power to make you feel fulfilled, secure or be very afraid, if you end up losing your job. According to your belief, so be it.

You have given power to all teachers from school, university, spiritual teachers, and other gurus. Teachers have power to tell you how you should live and not think for yourself. According to your belief, so be it.

You have given power to religions. Religions have power to dictate to you what is right and wrong, who you should worship, how you should worship, and how to live your life. According to your belief, so be it.

You have given power to celebrities, politicians, world leaders, royalty and government. They have power to influence you in how you should live. According to your belief, so be it.

You have given power to the media. The media has power to give you their version of truth about reality and influence you in your lifestyle choices. According to your belief, so be it.

You have given power to money. Money has power to make you happy, secure and at peace. According to your belief, so be it.

You have given power to the weather. The weather has power to make you happy or sad, or to make or ruin your day. According to your belief, so be it.

You have given power to the ego, devil, Satan, a carnal, mortal or race mind. They have power to prevent you from being who you are. According to your belief, so be it.

You have given power to clairvoyants, mediums, spirit guides, angels, channelled entities, ascended masters and other entities. They have power to make your decisions for you, tell you how to live and what to think. According to your belief, so be it.

You have given power to time. Time has power over you to make you fret about the past or the future. According to your belief, so be it.

And so on.

It really boils down to one thing: your belief in more than one power. According to your belief, so be it.

As much as I enjoyed watching He-Man and his friends fighting with their enemies, I am also aware that their battles demonstrate the belief in more than one power. If He-Man only realised there was only One Power, there wouldn't be any need for him to fight Skeletor. The One cannot oppose Itself.

To gain access to the one Power we must stop believing in more than one Power. Know that there is only one Power and that Power is in you. You are that Power. When you resist or oppose something or someone, you're demonstrating a belief in more than one power; and you end up fighting against yourself. Put another way,

"Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth." (Luke 11: 17)
There is only One Power in all. You have this Power at your command NOW.

With love,
Enocia
